‘Emotional’ is the personal, honest new track from Sarah Barrios’ debut EP, Letters I Never Sent. She explains that the track comes from being “a person who has a lot of feelings, a lot of the time and that kind of emotional whiplash can be pretty overwhelming. I got to the point where I was just like, why am I like this? Why does everything feel so intense all the time?” Lyrically, she perfectly gets across a sense of openness and honesty, while her music gives off an intentionally isolated feeling full of bright guitars and a crisp drum pattern. Even the music video that comes with the track allows full focus to be directed onto Barrios, who stands alone in a muted room.
